All our Maniac’s are invited to join us at all the British Touring Car Championship races where our Tool Maniac BTCC car, driven by Sam Osborne will be competing in the world’s most competitive motorsport series. We also have some other exciting events coming up and this is the place where you can find all of our forthcoming events information.
First on the calendar is Thruxton this weekend (18th – 19th May) as we look to ramp things up both on and off the track. Sam Osborne will once again be behind the wheel of the Tool Maniac MG, with Rob Smith behind the wheel of the Draper Tools car.
And whilst Sam will be aiming to break into the top 20 for the first time this season we are delighted to announce that for the first time this season you will be able to buy products from our store! Our Tool Maniac tent will be open all day Sunday and we invite you along to talk to us and check out our range – in particular the Red Bull Racing tools range, which are available for a limited time only. So now if you see it, love it and want it…you can have it!
I doubt you could ask for a better combination than racing cars and tools as sleek and sexy as this.
After Thruxton it’s onto the Darlington Truck Show which is being held between the 25th and 27TH of May – https://www.darlingtontruckshow.co.uk. We’re extremely proud to be the event’s main sponsor and we’re sure it will be an event too good to miss.
The event will have something for everyone to enjoy, from eye popping truck shows to fairground rides as well as the Battlebus for the kids. The will also be first class catering and live entertainment from the rock band, The Rumoured.
I’ve heard they’re Rumoured to be good 😉
Following on from the Darlington Truck Show things move closer to home for Tool Maniac with the BTCC heading to Oulton Park on the 29 and 30th of June. You’d think this 4-week break would allow for some down time but the exact opposite will be true as preparations for the Goodwood Festival of Speed (4th – 7th July) will be well under way.
Described as ‘The world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture!’ the festival should be on everyone’s bucket list if you ask me. It is motorsport’s ultimate summer garden party and is an intoxicating celebration of the world’s most glamorous sport and so we just had to be there. Last year our team visited for 2 days via our association with Wera Tools and we were all taken aback by the sheer size, the car displays where simply superb, getting close up to some of the most iconic road and racing cars was the highlight of the days spent.
Personally, I can’t wait until you see what we have in store this year.
We will also be continuing to support Jamie Osborne throughout his season as he competes in Motocross events across the UK. Despite being on 15 years of age, Jamie has shown maturity beyond his years when out on track and just like us at Tool Maniac he’s not satisfied with ‘good enough’.
It’s going to be a busy few months ahead for of us here at Tool Maniac and we’re really looking forwards to meeting some of you at these fantastic events. So if you see us, don’t be shy and come and say hello!
For the 2019 season Sam Osborne will be once again racing the Wera Tools UK sponsored Renault Clio Cup car, this will be Sam’s third year in Clio’s and we’re hoping Sam shines through and gets to the front where he belongs.
Change of team gives Sam a good chance of being at the leading edge of the championship.
Jamie Osborne, in only his second year of racing. will be driving once again in the Ginetta Junior Championship. For 2019 Jamie will be racing in the colours of main sponsor Tool Maniac and a hint of Wera with the famous “Be a Tool Rebel” on the roof.
Considering that Jamie has never done any Karting (Unlike the rest of the field) he charged through the field and delivered some stellar drives in the 2018 season. Lets just hope that with Tool Maniac behind him he will improve even more.
We would love to see you at the track to talk tools and racing (nice combination) but if you can’t make it follow us on ITV4 for full Sunday afternoon coverage.
If you have never been to the Goodwood Festival of Speed you must put this in your diary for 2019, 4/5/6/7 July. I went to the very first one in 1993 and it was amazing.
This year our team visited for 2 days via our association with Wera Tools and we were all taken aback by the sheer size, the car displays where simply superb, getting close up to some of the most iconic road and racing cars was the highlight of the days spent.
As a Tool Maniac Member make a beeline for the Wera stand and make yourself known.
There are no upcoming events at this time.
